Gary Greenwald
![]() Gary Greenwald Senior Vice President, Technology Services and CIO Gary Greenwald is Senior Vice President of Technology Services and CIO for GXS. In this role, he is responsible for GXS’s global network operations and information technology infrastructure. This includes the company’s global data centers, infrastructure planning, engineering and implementation and facilities. Prior to joining GXS, Mr. Greenwald served as a Managing Partner of Z1 Technologies, an IT consultancy practice which focuses on strategic planning, architectural assessments, and organizational structure analysis for companies within the financial industry. He previously served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of TD AMERITRADE, where he helped grow the business from an entrepreneurial start-up to a $3.0 billion company with $287 billion in client assets under management. Under Mr. Greenwald’s leadership, engineering and infrastructure operations not only supported an industry leading service-oriented architecture, but also dramatically improved operational efficiency by delivering 99.99% availability for all core systems. Additional roles held by Mr. Greenwald at TD AMERITRADE included Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Vice President, Enterprise Engineering and Operations, and Vice President, Office of the CIO. Mr. Greenwald's career spans more than 25 years of technology business experience in financial services, insurance and government contracting with expertise in retail and institutional brokerage, retail banking, policy, claims and mortgage processing. He previously held various infrastructure and development roles within such companies as Lockheed Martin Corporation, Riggs National Bank, and McGraw Hill Information Systems. |
