Which version of the product will I use in class?
Courses are taught on the most recent major release of software available.

Will I have Internet access to check my email during class?
Our classroom provides Internet access to check your email. We ask that you please do so only during class break times.

Will I have to share a PC?
All students have their own workstation.

Prerequisites
Are the prerequisites really required?
Prerequisites are listed to ensure that you are prepared for the level of material in the course you are taking, so that your training experience is productive and beneficial.

Where can I find the course prerequisites?
The prerequisites are listed in the individual Course Listings on this web site.

Should I attend courses in any particular order?
Review the Course Listing to see what courses to take in what sequence according to your role on the team.

How should I dress?
The dress at GXS is business casual.

Is breakfast or lunch included?
"Working meals" are usually not provided. Lunch arrangements are flexible and may be determined by each class.

What are the course hours?
Course hours are typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Check your confirmation email for any variations.

Will the course get out early on the last day?
It will depend on the size and expertise of the class. This can be discussed with your instructor on Day 1 of the course.

What if I have to cancel my course attendance?
Please notify us in writing at training@gxs.com as soon as you know you will be unable to attend your scheduled course. Cancellation fees are as follows:

  • If you cancel during the seven business days prior to the beginning of class, you will be responsible for 50% of the cost of the course.
  • If you simply fail to attend the class, you will be responsible for 100% of the cost of the course, or if applicable, the training seat included with your software purchase will be forfeited.
GXS reserves the right to cancel any class. If we do so, we will notify all students at least seven business days prior to the planned start date. If you have prepaid for the class, the full tuition will be refunded. With this in mind, we suggest that you purchase refundable airline tickets.

May I purchase a training manual, and is it available before class?
We do not sell training manuals. They are distributed on the first day of class.
