Course Description:
The course covers how to:
- Set up Trading Partners and create trading relationships
- Send and receive EDI and non-EDI documents using several different techniques
- Set Enterprise Gateway system parameters
In this course, participants develop an in-depth understanding of and how to use Enterprise Gateway Queues, especially the AI Bridge, COSBridge, the FTP Bridge and the Custom Queue.
Participants learn how to:
- Monitor Enterprise Gateway using Audit Log and other utilities
- Use the basic document-level tracking and reporting facilities
- Diagnose error messages and determine corrective actions
Course Pre-requisites:
- Familiarity with how to perform basic UNIX or Windows command-line operations, such as listing, copying and editing files
- Understand EDI Basics
- Be very familiar with your company business processes and EAI and EDI strategies
- Know your company's webMethods system base software, to include familiarity with Developer and Modeler
Course Objectives:
Participants will leave this course with:
- knowledge of how to use the Support User's Interface
- familiarity with the concepts and usage of various bridges, servers, gateways, and adapters commonly used to extend the integration message brokering capabilities of a Trading Grid® Enterprise Gateway System
- competency in setting up for EDI translation using Application Integrator and the AI Bridge
- ability to perform Enterprise gateway administrative tasks and operational tasks using a Support System User Interface and the UNIX or Windows command line
