Course Description:

The course covers how to define data structures for XML data using Schema definitions, XPATH models, and Style Sheets; create mapping relationships between input and output  XML data and EDI and user defined data; define rules to evaluate data, read data from an input file, use memory variables for data storage and retrieval, and perform data calculations.

Participants learn how to initiate translation sessions and troubleshoot mapping errors; generate and interpret activity reports, and; perform administrative tasks associated with processing XML data as well as how to create profiles that define each trading partner's processing requirements.

Required Prerequisites:
  • Practical experience with Application Integrator 4.0 or higher
  • Experience with XML and XML document schemas
  • Basic knowledge of XPATH, XSL and Stylesheets
  • In-depth familiarity with your company's business processes and XML strategies
Course Objective:
Participants will be able to perform tasks required for successful translation of inbound and outbound XML data, using schema definitions, XPATH models and Stylesheets.
